Evers Legal has been exclusively engaged by Oak Brook, IL based Ace Hardware to help fill a newly created Senior Corporate Counsel position with an emphasis on Employment Law matters and litigation management. Specifically:
This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department and other business units with the management and handling of all employment-related issues including employee relations, benefits, wage and hour, internal investigations, terminations, immigration, discrimination and harassment, accommodations, and privacy. This position is also primarily responsible for managing the company’s litigation portfolio, including HR matters, as well as other commercial matters.
The legal department at Ace Hardware embraces a hybrid office model with a general guideline of 3 days per week in-office. The HQ location is Oak Brook (west suburban Chicago), and the company recently announced it will be moving to a brand new campus facility on The Reserve in 2023.
Our ideal candidate has current or previous experience in an in-house role. But we will gladly consider all candidates who bring 6+ years of relevant subject matter expertise to the table.
