Evers Legal has been exclusively retained by Central Power Systems & Services (“CPower”) to recruit its first in-house counsel. The title of Senior Counsel is aligned with the role, focused primarily on daily legal work versus managing a law department. Nonetheless, this position does report into the executive suite and offers a long-term opportunity for growth and, eventually, a possible General Counsel title when the role expands and you earn that designation.
CPower is a fast growing, profitable company with a significant Data Center footprint as a manufacturer of back-up energy equipment. This is a privately held company with deep roots dating back to 1954. In addition to being an OEM of mobile generators, CPower is a leading distributor of power solutions and heavy machinery.
This position is on-site at the company’s beautiful expansive new headquarters and manufacturing location in Platte City, Missouri, about a half hour northwest of Kansas City. Relocation is available for non-local candidates.
We seek 5+ years of legal practice experience, ideally with a commercial transactions focus. But the most important qualification will be culture fit: entrepreneurial, positive, and client service focused. The day-to-day work will include commercial contracts, supply chain, dealership relations, some real estate, and general legal support such as OSHA compliance. The more you can do, the stronger you are as a candidate. But the winner will be able to engage outside counsel as needed for matters outside their scope of expertise or for litigation.
